Indecisive.

Indecisive.

Big word here. And its a trait I seriously hate the most. What the heck do you really want? At one point , you re feeling this way. Another point, you re feeling otherwise.
Do you really think its attractive being this way? Do you really think being clueless is actually sexy?
Lastly , you can't even tell what's standing in front of you and what's actually make you tear every night. You claim nobody acknowledges your feelings but the truth is you don't bother noticing.

How silly I was to actually think standing by your side and patching up your wounds would actually give you a brand new beginning but the truth is you rather live in your past and rant about it.
Look at where you are now? Back to square one. You re a mistake I will never ever repeat again.

I thought as time changes, people change.  I was so wrong. You have given me an impression that it doesn't work like that. You have ruined my perception towards others who are just like you in the near future. I have developed a hatred for kinds like you. Damn you.

Buy What You Like, Forget The Hype.

Buy What You Like , Forget The Hype.

Like the title, I can't stress enough that you should buy what you like , forget what the damn hype is. Like all hype before this, they all died. Well maybe not all but without fail, there's always going to be something new. Of course all of us would like to own and wear the latest things in the market , let alone when its limited in quantity or when our favorite artists and celebrities are also wearing them.
But is it really worth it when we get swarmed into it?

Recently I have friends who got scammed in their purchases. The sneaker game has definitely changed. Unfair actually. The people that really wanted the things ended up paying twice or triple the amount of the item. Their hard earned money. The worst ones are the buyers themselves falling for really good prices but not knowing its fake. I know I am in no position to say what you should invest in and not but guys, educate yourself. There is no free lunch in the world. And when you get scammed, you complain and say no one warned you. You were warned from the damn start, you were just too proud and wouldn't take anyone's word for it. Serves you right. No one is at fault but yourself.

You wanted to pull this off on your own. Well here you go. I want to say that before you purchase anything at such a hefty price, please educate yourself. Know where your products are coming from and is this a product that justifies the price you are going to pay? If it does make you happy, then by all means. But if you re doing this just because of the hype , man you can't get any sillier can you? Bear in mind , the next big thing is going to take over as always. Unless if its really limited in amount, you are going to be suffering by keeping up with the hype week by week. Educate yourself. Know where products are coming from. Most importantly, buy at your own risk. Nobody is responsible for your investments except yourself.

Air Jordan 29 ''Playoff Pack''

Air Jordan 29 '' Playoff Pack'' - Home & Away.

The time has come as we are nearing the Nba Playoffs. Here we have a look at the Jordan 29 in the playoff colorways. Judging from the color scheme, they might just be Russell Westbrook's edition but either way they look good with the Thunder's jerseys.

This pair has that hypnotic pattern on which we have seen on the easters Jordan 29 a.k.a '' Green Sparks''

I am not really a big fan of this pattern. Still prefer the first 2 editions with the elephant print and the huge Jumpman on the side but that's just my opinion. It be hard to figure what to put together with these bad boys but the Jordan 29's are really comfortable from a performance standpoint  So if you re looking for a solid performer but also slick-looking , these might just be for you.  The Playoff Pack are scheduled to release mid April. You can check out Hoops Station or any of your local retailers if you re interested to purchase them.

So what do you think of the Jordan 29 ''Playoff Pack'' ? Which team will you be rooting for to bring back the Larry o'Brien trophy?

Hop Hop we Hop! Jordan Brand bringing the Bunny Fever!

Jordan Brand brings on the Bunny Fever!

So as we are approaching mid year, Jordan Brand has decided to do something interesting by bringing back one of their silhouette in the Bugs Bunny colorway but this time they are called the ''Hare''. The model was originally released back in 2008 from the Countdown Pack 7/16 but this time they are released on its own.

Not only that, we do have a dubbed ''Lola Bunny'' colorway specifically catered to the ladies. Definitely a good look to go with the gents. As fans of both the cartoon or even bunnies, how can one resist this?? Definitely not me. And these 7's are a must cop for me. What do you think ?

The Jordan 7 Bugs Bunny is set to release on the 16th of May while the Lola Bunnies are set to release on the 18th of April. Are these a must for you or not? Stay tuned to Hoops Station or your local retailers on the release!

Air Jordan 5 ''White Metallic''

Air Jordan 5 '' White Metallic''

Recently Jordan Brand dropped the Jordan 4 in a Laser etched theme and now we have a look at the 5's in a white metallic colorway. Personally I like the colorway but not the model. I also think if Jordan Brand use simple colorways like these , it makes both a consumer and a collector really appreciate the shoe for what it is.

Although some may not agree but I do think Jordan Brand ought to change things up a bit by going with some simple colorways for people to rock . Then again , its just my opinion. These are scheduled to release on the 4th of April in the States . If you are interested in purchasing these you can head over to Hoops Station and follow them on Instagram on Facebook or check out your local retailers for these. Hopping out!

Chris Paul's CP3 8 playoff edition

Chris Paul's CP3 8 Playoff Edition.

As the playoffs are nearing, we are getting more looks of what the players will be wearing when they contend for Nba championship. Here we have a look at what Chris Paul will be wearing. I like how these look in comparison to the regular version in the photo below.

Not much differences but performance wise I think the playoff editions might fare a bit better as it looks like they have reduced some layers to enhance breathability. Also the playoff editions might take lesser breaking-in time since the shoe's exterior is overlaid with mesh. No date on these but it won't be long before these hit retailers. Stay tuned to Hoops Station and here on these!Hopping out!

Air Jordan Future Low

Air Jordan Future Low ( Summer 2015 )

So if you guys have been following , this model was originally released in a high-top form but now Jordan Brand has planned to released them in a low top which I personally enjoy very much! Casually I would prefer the shoe to be low, practical and easy to match whatever I got on.

I can imagine some jogger pants with them , and a basic tee or a hoodie as well. Shorts will compliment them just as well. Really excited and looking forward to these!

This pair may have some similarities to the Nike Roshe run but the roshe's are a very comfortable shoe so hopefully these future lows will live up to that standard. This model does not have an official release date but its scheduled to release during summer this year. A good model to rock day in and day out if you ask me. Stay tuned to Hoops Station or here when these hit retailers!Hopping out!

Nike Basketball Elite Series 2015

Nike Basketball Elite Series 2015.

With the playoffs just round the corner, Nike waste no time by unveiling the Elite Editions of the big 3's signature models. Of course the Kyrie's aren't getting since Kyrie has not reached that level but I'm sure he will soon.

Overall , I am liking how the Kobe 10 looks but not digging the high cut.Don't get me wrong but I love how the flyknit looks on it, just not the height. So hopefully we will be seeing Nike releasing a low version of it? I be up to get it. As for the Lebron and KD's, I think they look a bit mechanical like. Too gaudy perhaps? Then again this is just an impression aesthetically. Perhaps they might surprise us from a performance aspect?

Lebron's look like they re wrapped in pretzels and Kd looks like a shoe with some Lego texture ( lego's dope tho). As for Kobe..you make it.

What do you guys think of the playoff edition in comparison to the regular edition? I take the regular edition over but others might say otherwise. 3 editions will release next month onwards.

The Team Collection will release on the 18th of April, Elevate Collection on the 15th of May and lastly the Rose Gold Collection on the 5th of June. If you are looking to snag em , stay tune to Hoops Station or any of your local basketball stores. Hopping out!

Like Mike, Gone Are The Days.

Gone Are The Days.

Like the title, gone are those days we actually appreciate any Jordan releases.
Michael Jordan's last game was the Nba All-Star game 12 years ago and he never came back even though there were speculation he would return at the age of 50. Lets face it. Its not happening . He rather be playing golf and lighting cigars away like candles.

This the problem. He isn't playing anymore. We can only appreciate his Chicago Bulls days through Dvd's, youtube clips or even keeping pairs that he wore in certain game doing special things. Unfortunately, this isn't what people think now. The moment any Jordan releases are announced, resellers are going all out to make a quick buck. Sitting behind the screens taking pre-orders above retail, lining up at 3-4 in the morning just to seal their spot so they can go back and start selling. Where are those days where anyone could just go into the store and purchase a pair of Space Jam's for retail without all these craze?

I know my rant here isn't changing anything but I am entitled to my own thoughts. Nike knows we as consumers are going to continue buying . Kudos to Nike for hearing us out when we ask for old models to retro.
But resellers? Why not get a job? Why take advantage of young ones when you know they are going to put it on their feet? Does it make you feel good to make a quick buck out of someone who has been longing to get a pair but doesn't quite have the budget to afford it at your price?

And its because of you, you implement ideas like these into the younger ones that they get an entirely distorted view of collecting sneakers. Spending their parent's hard earn money to buy shoes to flip for extra. I be more than happy to rock my stuff, looking fine with buttoned-ups and shorts or jeans or what not at that age. Gone are the days.

Questions like these already have an answer. Like global warming, we are all told to adapt to it. You can only lessen it, but you can't stop it. And its because of this, I decided to look elsewhere. If I can't get it at its original price, I am moving on. They say the sneaker game has changed. I agree. But I will say this, if this doesn't come to an end, you can be damn sure I be saving a huge amount and spending on something else that will make me just as happy.

Maybe one day these people will come around. Maybe. Till then, lets hope for the better.
Hopping out.

Nike Easter Basketball Collection 2015

Nike Easter Basketball Collection 2015.

So for the easter collection of 2015 Nike has decided to go with the norm, using mix sets of pastel tones but somehow I think Nike isn't trying hard enough. No discrimination to the pack cause I like the KD 7's (green pair,2nd pair 2nd row) but I feel like Nike always had a way with it if they do special graphics on a shoe or something more accustomed to the Easter theme......
....(easter bunny, chocolate eggs...kay maybe not) .

I think Nike did a good job with the previous Easter pack 2 years ago. Last year, errr maybe the kobe's. But this pack, I may just get the KD's and be done with it. Overall, well at least they would look good casually , really digging the KD's.

BUT, word of advice here. Maybe the picture doesn't do them justice either so I would really recommend seeing them in person first before deciding.

What do you guys think about this year's easter pack in comparison to the packs before this?

2012 Easter Collection
2013 Easter Collection
2014 Easter Collection

The 2015 Easter pack is also the first to introduce the Kyrie 1's in an Easter make-up. If you have not checked out my performance review on them please do visit the performance section and if you are interested in the collection, these 4 pairs are set to release officially on the 2nd of April 2015.

Nike Kyrie 1 Performance Review.

Nike Kyrie One Performance Review

Firstly , I am very sure the basketball community who have been following Kyrie Irving is very much pleased with the fact he finally got his own signature shoe. But that isn't enough to say his shoe is one of the best on the market. For the most part , its decent for a first signature and ''maybe'' for that price point. Now lets begin.

Fit in my opinion, I feel this shoe is made more for a player who's plays the guard position. Bigger guys would want more cushioning on their feet compared to these. I wore this the first day I got them and the 2 finger-overlay that you see in front was mad stiff! Its not like a breaking-in feeling. I played for 3 hours in total on the first day and when I got back , my inner arch was sore as heck. It didn't even go away the next day as I continued to play ball in these and its still stiff. After the 6th time, I realize the 2-finger area wasn't that stiff. Its just nice like its already molded to my feet. Most people think they need to go a half size up but I don't think that would work once the shoes breaks in because the shoe will feel a bit too roomy and I hate that feeling. I love it when there's almost zero gap . Personal preference here.

Traction, is definitely the shoe's strongest point. If you read my take on the Curry One performance, I did mention if you want everlasting grip then you won't regret getting this. The swirl-like looking traction is designed to cover you especially when you re doing fast moves or shaking off defenders during fast motions. This shoe's grip is very much similar to the hyperfuse low 2012 so durability isn't an issue here. The grip is almost an inch thick so if you are thinking you can be done with this pair by summer, you have a long way to go.

Support is up to par in this pair. The angular heel counter provides stability just as the mid-top wraps around your ankle giving you a plush feel . In other words, its decent but also similar to what you have been experiencing in the past hyperfuse models.

Cushion I will say don't expect much from this pair. Not that its uncomfortable but its just enough. Maybe its because after wearing other signatures players models for so long, I feel like this is just an ''okay'' shoe. The shoe is running on a regular phylon which is implemented in past hyperfuse models so for those who have experienced them, that's what you will be getting with these.

Ventilation is poor with this pair and let me say this, I only wear normal thin no-show socks to play but it doesn't improve the condition. The overall material is made of mesh but its backed up with another layer to improve the fit which destroys the purpose of using mesh isn't it? So I will say that the usage of mesh here doesn't live up to its purpose. Personally I don't think ventilation is a concern but if its already placed there, why not utilize it? Smh.

Aesthetically I think these are okay on court. I don't think they are exactly a looker off-court. Not in this colorway though. Perhaps other colorways like the Dreams, or the recently released Flytraps (2nd image).

If you are interested in getting a pair, there will be more colorways coming to your nearest Nike outlets or you can pay a visit to Hoops Station to grab a pair.

Score Sheet will be as follows :
Traction       -     10/10
Fit                 -       7/10
Cushion       -       7/10
Support       -       7/10

To The Naked Eye  -  Well of course its a must have for those who have been supporting Kyrie ever since he got into the league. But performance wise, don't expect too much from it.

Under Armour Curry One Performance Review

Under Armour Curry One Performance Review.
On a safe note, I can say these are definitely a pair in anybody's rotation but if you re wondering whether to cop them, it all goes down to you as a consumer. Why? Well, we all know these are Stephen curry's first signature with UA but these aren't anything spectacular especially with a Rm649 pricetag. Not hating the pair at all folks, but hear me out.
Firstly, I will start off with the traction. Well they are great outdoors but I can't say indoor wise because I have not played indoors yet . But I don't think these are as durable as the Nike Kyrie 1 (go get em if you want everlasting grip, seriously).
Cushion, I can definitely feel the Charged Cushion in these especially during fast motions. I don't even feel tired standing around in these (oldmanwillliketheseforsure) in comparison to like the way of wades. So for you guys who re always on the run , you will like these for sure.
Ventilation wise, this pair is well ventilated for the most part but I live in Malaysia where its either blazing hot or raining non stop so it does not matter really. In fact, ventilation does not matter to me as much as the cushion used.
The fit of this pair really varies depending on the consumer's size and preference. I'm usually a size 10.5 but i'm a 10 in these. When i tried them on, I felt that going a half size down filled up the dead space around as this pair is engineered to fit an ankle brace and i don't wear them. So if you can, go try them on before purchasing as not everyone's feet are the same.
Overall, I like it but personally i feel it doesn't really justify the rm600 pricetag apart from the fact that its curry's first pair. I played in other pairs too like Peak, Li-ning and also Anta for that matter and they re much cheaper than these but pretty much up to par, if not these are slightly better. If you think about it, add a little bit more and you re able to purchase a pair of lebron 12's or kobe 10( if they re discounted of course). Im not saying this are not worth the money but if you wanna get something of that value then you might wanna reconsider. But if you don't mind then by all means, go for it. Also, there will be a low top of this model and I think those will be better given that being a high top doesn't really do much, but restricts you a bit more instead.
From a fashion standpoint, i don't know how to pull this off apart from wearing a black hoodie and a pair of long fleece pants. Someone said these shoes look like Spongebob's retarded cousin so.... PASS.
Dont be surprised if people who aren't familiar with UA pass remarks like -
"What shoe is that? Why the logo like X-Men wan?"
"Under armour? So the shoe bulletproof ah?"

Conclusion - I'm not saying its a terrible pair at all really. If it wasn't over Rm600 i would love it even more but for that price you can also get a pair of kd7's at Rm559. Least i can say this pair isn't as dissapointing as the Nike Kyrie ones. However, I'm waiting for the lowtop version of these, they should definitely feel better given the high cut feels good enough.
Ps - My opinion is just one person's input. If you want a more detailed review, youtube is your place to go. For those who couldn't cop, im pretty sure more colors will drop at Hoops station so stay tuned to them or pay a visit to Under Armour's MY website. Link below.

http://www.underarmour.com.my/en-my/home

My score sheet for these would be :

Cushioning   - 9/10
Support         - 8/10
Durability     - 9/10
Traction        - 9/10
Fit                  - 9/10
To the naked eye  -  An ideal pair just not worth the tag. Choice is yours.

Pointing the finger.

Who's really at fault?
So there was this scenario where a guy wanted to sell his pair of Jordans for around 400 ringgit above the retail he paid. Comments came after and actually became more of a debate of who's the bigger man. People started pointing fingers and actually backtracking to previous sales, playing the blame game practically. Here's my opinion on it.

I learn that without demand, there would not be a supply, period. No matter how expensive shoes get, consumers or collectors for that matter will continue purchasing. I do purchase my stuffs occasionally from resellers if I missed out on a release or I fail to obtain a pair due to the balloting system. Okay coming back to that scenario. The question here is, is it the seller's fault for selling it at such a hefty price because he sees others doing it? Or is it the other sellers fault for making him look bad just because he got a pair to sell whereas the others couldn't get? My answer would be both sides have a part in this.

In the first place, if the sale actually goes through at that value is because of the customer that agreed to pay in the first place. Meaning the seller has succeeded to let that shoe go at that value and its now staying at that value. If no sale goes through for that price, there wouldn't be a need for other sellers to be salty now would they? There's not much else to say but if you don't like it, don't buy it. Buy what you like, forget the hype. And if you can't accept the price? Educate yourself on the next release. Be resourceful with the internet. Find ways to obtain a pair at its retail if you refuse to pay the extra buck. You be doing yourself so much good instead on creating a beef and making yourself look childish. Over what? A pair of shoe. Move on. There's no need to sulk and say why how where and when. You can always wait.Shoes aren't built to last and hype doesn't stay for long.

Its true that the sneakergame has changed, but for better or worse?

Birth.

Well greetings fellow readers! Feels refreshing indeed to be back at blogging. The last time I actually had a blog was at least 7 years ago when it was the norm but this time I have an incentive of having one, to bring my unfiltered thoughts of sneakers and also provide performance overviews etc.

I have a lot of ideas cooked up and goals set but of course I do intend to meet more people along the way as I know this is not only beneficial towards others but myself too. Well this is enough for an introduction I guess. Heading out!
